These 5 unique birthday gifts will earn you loads of hugs and kisses from your kid!

It’s never easy picking a gift for anyone – whether it’s for kids or adults. Kids can be fussy so you have to go the extra mile and pick up something you’re a hundred per cent sure your kid would love. The best way to get perfect birthday gifts for kids is to see where their interest lies – in playing indoor games, going out, working on DIY projects, etc.

I, for one, look for something fun and enjoyable contrary to books, stationeries, and regular toys while gifting kids.

Board games

I didn’t know so many board games existed until I went to a toy store to get a gift for my friend’s kid a few years back. If your kid loves puzzles and other games, you don’t have to worry because you’re pretty sorted for quite a few birthday gifts.

You can get kids anything from a simple puzzle and classic games – such as snake & ladder and ludo – to other mind-boggling board games. If your kid is currently obsessing over a cartoon or TV show, see if you can find a puzzle or a game based on the show.

Art and craft kits

I can’t wait for my kids to grow old enough to start working on art and craft projects. Children love playing with colours and working on crafts so they will definitely love any and all kinds of paints, colours, art kits, craft kits, etc. Hopefully, my kids will be inspired by my love for art and craft and will indulge in some craft-making occasionally!

Remote-controlled cars

There’s something about remote-controlled cars that kids just love! I got my son a remote-controlled car for his birthday and I swear there is no place that car hasn’t been to in our house. Kids hardly get bored with these cars and when they do, they’ll open up the remotes and cars and try fixing it themselves. These work as perfect birthday gifts for kids who love cars and trucks and everything with wheels.

Binoculars

I bought a pair of kid’s binoculars for my 3-year-old daughter and she spends a good amount of time in the day looking at leaves and insects in the garden through her new set of binoculars. As you can see, the binoculars just doubled as a microscope! If your kid is the kind that’s interested in watching documentaries on Nat Geo and Discovery, you can get him or her a pair of binoculars to set off his exploratory instincts.

Camping tent

You can transform any corner of your home into a camping site with the help of a camping tent. Speaking from experience, the pretend-camp-trips have been a blessing to get my kids to finish their meals! While they get to play in the tent pitched on the terrace, under the stars, I manage to finish feeding them their “camp food”.

These are just 5 birthday gifts for kids ideas off the top of my head. You can surely find a lot more interesting things you can gift your kids.
