As a child, I loved Republic day. I vividly remember getting dressed up and attending the Republic Day celebrations at school. We’d have a mini-parade, performances, and gorge on some delicious sweets. The celebrations made my heart swell with pride. One of my favourite parts about the celebration was getting dressed up for the day. Showcasing national pride by donning Republic Day fashion outfits made my heart brim with joy.
Ever since I’ve had kids, I’ve ensured that my kids are always dressed up according to the theme for Republic day and Independence day. If you are wondering how to dress up your child for this special occasion, here are a few fashion pieces that are tailor-made for this day!
Keep it casual!
You can wear your heart on your sleeve without being too loud. If you want to go all in, there can’t be anything better than ethnic wear. Traditional ethnic pieces such as dhoti kurtas, sarees, lehengas, and salwar kameez perfectly suit this special occasion. You can either go for a simple white ethnic set or experiment with some vivid colours. I prefer ethnic outfits in bright colours as I can reuse them later for weddings and other occasions.

Just because your little angel doesn’t yet understand the significance of this important day, it doesn’t mean he/she should be left out of the festivities.
