10 fun and unique kitty party games that will make you the best host ever!

Kitty parties give us ladies the much-needed opportunity to let our hair down and have fun with our friends. What I love about these parties is that they are fun and easy to organize. Fun kitty party games, delicious food, catching up on what’s happening in each others’ lives is something that members look forward to every month.

Games are one of the best things about these parties and give everyone an opportunity to have fun and win prizes. If you are playing host at the next kitty party, here are some awesome kitty party games for ladies your friends will love! I have personally used some of these games in the parties I’ve hosted and they were a hit! Stay till the end to check out a game that was a clear winner at my party!

1. Handbag treasure hunt

What’s in your bag?

What you’ll need:

  • Participants with handbags
  • List of items from a handbag

How to play it:

  • Make a list of the items one might find in a handbag (lipstick, comb, wallet, cards, mint, etc).
  • Allot points for each item on the list.
  • Ask the ladies with handbags/purses to gather around.
  • Call out each item on the list and the first person to retrieve the item from the bag will be awarded the points.
  • The game ends once all the items on the list have been called out.

The winner: The person with the highest number of points at the end of the game wins.

2. Junk in the trunk

What you’ll need:

  • Empty tissue box
  • A thick string/rope/cloth ribbon
  • Paper balls
  • Tissues to wipe away the tears of laughter

How to play it:

  • Make holes on either side of the empty tissue box and pass the rope/string through it. Make sure the string is long enough to be tied around a person’s waist.
  • Fill the tissue box with paper balls of different sizes.
  • Tie the box around the participant’s waist in a way that the box stays at the small of their back.
  • The participants now have to empty out the box by shaking their waist, dancing, and jumping around.

The winner: Whoever empties out the box first is declared the winner.

3. Popcorn garland

What you’ll need:

  • Popcorn
  • Needles and threads

How to play it:

  • Every player is handed a bowl of popcorn, needle, and thread.
  • The contestants have to make a popcorn garland using the materials.

The winner: The first one to finish the popcorn garland using all the popcorn in the bowl wins the game.

Ps: This is one of the kitty party games where you might have to restrain yourself from not eating the tools before the game starts!

4. Pass the peanut

What you’ll need:

  • Spoons
  • Shelled peanuts

How to play it:

  • Make all the ladies stand in a circle.
  • Each contestant holds the edge of the spoon in their mouth.
  • A peanut is placed in one of the contestant’s spoons and the game begins.
  • The contestants have to pass the peanut in their spoon to the next person’s spoon.
  • If the person passing the peanut drops the spoon or the peanut, they are out. The game continues with the person next to the disqualified contestant.

The winner: The last two players to remain in the game win. 

5. Keep it up

What you’ll need:

  • Balloons
  • Marker
  • String
  • Energy to blow air into all the balloons

How to play it:

  • Blow the balloons and secure them with strings.
  • Divide the group into teams of two and let them pick a name for their team.
  • Assign every team a balloon with their team name written on it.
  • Let the balloons into the air. The objective of each team is to keep the balloon in the air by blowing at it. The contestants are not allowed to touch the balloon.

The winner: Whichever team is the last to let the balloon touch the ground wins.

6. Name that song

What you’ll need:

  • A playlist of songs
  • Pen and paper

How to play it:

  • The host plays 2 seconds of a song. The song can be played from the beginning, middle, or end.
  • The contestants have to guess and write down the name of the song.
  • The game continues until all the songs on the playlist are over.

The winner: Whoever gets the most number of songs right wins the game.

7. Murder by winking

What you’ll need:

  • Pen
  • Chits of paper (same as the number of players)

How to play it:

  • Write ‘murderer’ on one chit and ‘citizens’ on the rest of the chits.
  • Let the players pick the chits and sit in a circle.
  • The game contains one ‘murderer’ who is supposed to kill the ‘citizens’ by winking at them. The players have to make eye contact with each other to identify the killer. Whoever gets winked at by the murderer pretends to die without letting others know who the murderer is.
  • If one of the citizens know who the murderer is, they can shout ‘suspect’ and point at the murderer. They win the game if they are right. If they are wrong, they die.
  • The game continues until someone guesses the identity of the murderer right or the murderer kills everyone.

The winner: If a citizen identifies the killer correctly, they are declared the winner. But if the killer manages to kill everyone without being identified, they are considered to be the winner.

8. Cookie Monster

What you’ll need:

  • Cookies
  • Will-power to not eat the cookies before the game starts

How to play it:

  • In this fun game, the player leans back sitting in a chair and a cookie is placed on their face. The player should move the cookie to their mouth using only their facial muscles and eat the cookie.
  • If the contestant touches the cookie with their hand, they are disqualified. 

The winner: Whoever manages to eat the cookie following the rules in the shortest amount of time wins the game.

9. Sponge the bottle

What you’ll need:

  • A bowl or bucket filled with water
  • An empty bottle
  • A sponge

How to play it:

  • The contestants have to transfer the water from the bucket/bowl to the empty bottle using a sponge.

The winner: The contestant who manages to fill their water bottle first wins the game.

10. Can you saree? Kitty party game with a twist!

What you’ll need: 

  • Saree
  • A picture or video of a unique style of saree draping 

How to play it:

  • Let the contestants look at the picture or video of the unique saree style drape.
  • The contestants have to recreate the same style of saree draping under 3 minutes.

The winner: The contestant who gets the style right in the least amount of time wins the game. My friends absolutely loved this one!
